Thoughts and Comments
Wow! There have been quite a few comments to approve in the last few days which is great. But, it appears many students have forgotten basic grammar rules. Remember, your comments are visible to the world so take your time and use correct punctuation. This will make you a better writer and communicator, too. Here is today’s question. Do you think we should post comments that are filled with errors? Why or why not?

Sixth grade is realy cool!!!
September 7th, 2007 at 10:33 amSykesville is a wonderfull school. But I do have a small bone to pick. I think lunch is much too short. By the time I get out of the lunch line it’s time to go!! It really stinks when your hungry.
September 7th, 2007 at 10:36 amI think that you shouldn’t post comments with errors because then the world would think bad of Sykesville Middle School. They would wonder what teachers are teaching the students. Also it would be easier to read the comments if they had no errors.
September 7th, 2007 at 11:51 amI love this years schedule. I got 3 books and read all of them all. Usally I wouldn’t be talking about reading, but these books are good.
September 9th, 2007 at 9:05 pmWell I think we can have some errors but not huge ones. If it’s just an uncapitalized I it’s fine.
September 16th, 2007 at 8:56 pmI think that this is really cool.
September 18th, 2007 at 12:14 pmI think that this is REALLY cool! I LOVE 8th GRADE!
September 18th, 2007 at 12:16 pmI think that you should post things with errors depending on the error. See if it’s capilization or something small just post it, but if it is some talking on IM then no you shouldn’t post it.
September 18th, 2007 at 12:18 pmI read Charlie Bone and it was a good book.
September 19th, 2007 at 2:13 pmI love 6th grade.
September 23rd, 2007 at 3:05 pmThe Media Center is full of good books
September 26th, 2007 at 10:51 amI think that you should atleast spell words correctly to show that Sykesville is great. Punctuation too.
September 26th, 2007 at 12:07 pmI think that if there is a minor error or two that doesn’t really matter that much it’s okay to post it. But if has really bad grammar and punctuation and stuff you shouldn’t post it because this is a school blog page so people will wonder if they teach us how to type sentences correctly.
September 26th, 2007 at 7:48 pmToday I got the book A Face First. My favorite author is Lisi Harrison. She writes the Clique books. They are good.
September 27th, 2007 at 1:34 pmOh yeah, I think that Sykesville Middle School is
September 27th, 2007 at 2:20 pmgreat and all but… I dont like that we go outside for about ten seconds. I buy my lunch and everybody butts infront of me so when I get my lunch its time to go outside. So I have to eat really fast when I finish its time to go back to class. Later.
I have been thinking that instead of the talent show our school should have a fashion show. This would be incredibly cheap as we would have it in our school and models would buy their own outfits. Just and idea. Okay rock out sms =]
October 4th, 2007 at 2:47 pmI go to sykesville middle and I loved 6th grade I was very welcomed.
October 7th, 2007 at 5:15 pmMiddle skool is great!! And so what if you make errors!! (This comment was not edited for grammar as the comment writer is intentionally making errors.)
October 16th, 2007 at 5:37 pmThis Is the Internet! Sure you should be able to post bolgs w/ errors on them. 50% of the internet is full of errors. Welcome to the 21st century.
November 30th, 2007 at 8:30 pmMrs. Murphy is the coolest teacher in the whole wide world!!!
December 21st, 2007 at 5:12 pmI hated 6th grade Mr.Perry is the coolest teacher ever his class is so easy
December 21st, 2007 at 5:14 pmPeople have awesome ideas, the one about the fashion show was good!
January 2nd, 2008 at 3:53 pmI don’t really think it should matter if people use bad grammar here or not, because this is a blog. If people want to see how our school does academically, then they can go look at our MSA’s I mean thats why we take the tests anyway, to show our intelligence(or lack their of…)
January 27th, 2008 at 1:20 pmI think you should post it if it has one or two errors. But if it has more than two errors then you should not post it. It might be embarasing to who ever put it up there. Also, it could be a bad influence to other readers. For example they could think it is ok to not put periods.
February 23rd, 2008 at 9:36 amI wish I had a blog. It would be so awesome!
