8th Grade Book Exchange: What did you choose?

Choosing a book to read is an individual decision. Some students choose a book by its cover, others because of a recommendation from a friend or teacher, and still some choose authors that they love or the next book in a series. What book did you choose today and why? What do you think the book will be about? Explain your book choice today and make some predictions about what you think it is about.

I chose the book, “Someone Like You” By Sarah Dessen. Sarah Dessen has written many other amazing books such as That Summer, The Truth About Forever and Keeping The Moon. All of these books had me hooked from the first page. They are very exciting, fun, mysterious, sad and romantic all at the same time. I would definitly recommend Sarah Dessens books to anyone of all ages.

I picked up a book called “The Year Of Secret Assignments” looked like a cool cover, so I thought “why not?”. I was really into it but then it was the end of the year last year so I couldn’t finish it. Super bumer! Can’t wait to finally finish it.
