Favorite Authors?
We have had several rounds of book exchanges now with most grades. It appears some authors are quite popular here at Sykesville Middle School. Which authors would you read or recommend to fellow students? Why do you like those particular authors? Here in the media center we like Sarah Dessen, Andrew Clements, Gordon, Korman, Gail Carson Levine, Gary Paulsen… just to name a few. Perhaps we should give a Sykesville’s favorite author award. Who would you nominate and why? Remember to use good grammar when you write your post.

My favorite authore is probably Wayne Thomas Batson. I’ve read The Door Within series and I shared them with a friend and they also said it was really good. I highly reccomend this book to any who like fiction and fantasy. The titles are The Door Within, The Rise Of The Wyrm Lord, and The Final Storm. Try reading them!
I think that Lisi Harrison would be perfect to win this competion! She writes fabulous realistic fiction books about teenagers and their lives. Most teenagers love these books especially the Clique Series.

My favorite authors would be Phyllis Renyonds Naylor and Sharon Creech. I loved Walk Two Moons, by Sharon Creech, about a girl searching for her mother. By Phyllis Renyonds Naylor I have enjoyed tha Alice series, about a girl Alice who grows up with you. As the books go on, they get harder, and more complex. I recommend all these books and authors for anyone who loves realistic fiction as much as I do!
Christopher Paolini (writes the Inheritance trilogy, which is Eragon and Eldest) and D.J. MacHale (Pendragon series) are my two favourites. Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl) is another good author.
