Blogs in the Classroom?
Blogs are changing the way we communicate, and they have have tremendous potential to change education, too. How do you think your teachers could use blogs in their classroom? How could or would you use one to help you learn better? Share your ideas here and maybe we can host a classroom project here.

I think it would be great for every teacher to have their own blog to help tutor students and answer questions. It’s also a great way to discuss books being read in the classroom and could be used as a communication tool between teachers and parents in order to keep parents up to date with what is going on in class.
I like the idea that each teacher could have his/her own blog, and it could be in schoolnotes.com and be for questions about homework or about something that wasn’t really related to what was said in class. I don’t think that there should be time to do blogging in class, though, I think it should be something you can do at home, like this blog.
I think that a blog would be a good way to have class debates. I know in my English class when our class has a debate or discussion, some kids just kind of sit their because they don’t want to say something wrong, even though our teachers make it very clear that their is no wrong. Anyway, this way kids could say whatever they wanted about a book and nobody would know who said it.
I think that teachers should have a blog because then they could ask for kids comments on what they are teaching and it could be part of their homework
I think that the teachers should have a blog and the kids should have a secret number like their grade secret number when the teachers post grades so no one would no who said the question.
Good idea, my only concern is that people would try and figure out who said what. I can just picture a converstion, “Did you here what was posted last night?” “Yeah, it was so stupid.” I know!I bet it was K.” “yeah probably.” “No, K. told me the other day her screen name was(place random name here).” “Really she never told me that! maybe she doesn’t like me!” “While these drama freaks are trying to decide who wrote a comment, someone else is about to have serious issues because she doesn’t know if they are talking about her blog. I can smell the drama. sorry, but this is what middle school is like.
I think blogs would be cool…if the user names could be kept secret like this.
