I just read the really good book Paint the Wind, by Pam Munoz Ryan. It was told from alternating narration. I really liked it. (I think the book was sort of meant for 10 year olds..., but it was still a good book!

Thanx SMS media, that sounds pretty good. I read the harry potter series and figured out a lot of British terms (like row is pronounced Ra-oww.) This book seems pretty interesting.

I just finished the book The Rogues by Jane Yolen. It is historical Fiction set in medieval Scotland. It is full of adventure and a good read-- so I highly reccommend it. But beware as it does contain a lot of Scottish dialect-- you have to be willing to figure out some of the meanings by sounding out what the word is. Laird for Lord for example is one they use a lot.

I read the book Comedy Girl. It was okay. Sort of predictable. Has anyone else read the book?

Hello Back in Black:

Karen Hesse is an awesome writer. The book Into the Dust is one I read years ago and it is still powerful today. You asked about the Christopher award. Here is some info:

"First presented in 1949, the Christopher Awards were established by Christopher founder Father James Keller to salute media that “affirm the highest values of the human spirit.” Their goal is to encourage men, women and children to pursue excellence in creative arenas that have the potential to influence a mass audience positively." You can learn more and see a list of the winners from previous years if you go to the Christopher awards website.

I just noticed that the book Witness has a Christopher Award on the front of it. I have never heard of this does anyone know what it means? Have you read any books that also have this award.

I read the book Witness, by Karen Hesse. It is nonfiction, but still pretty entertaining. I thought it was really sad, it was about this town getting invaded by the Ku Klux Klan, and who joins them and who turns against them.It was pretty good.

I just got finished reading the most amazing book! It is called Facing the Music by Margaret Willey. It is sort of hard to explain without giving the whole thing away, but it was really good. If anyone has read this I would love to discus this with you. Because, in the begining, I found the characters actions annoying, but then I realized they were pretty realistic!!! I forgot to mention, this book is told from alternating points of view, which I thought I wasn't going to like, but I actually did.
